HOW DO YOU IMPROVE YOUR PITCH SHOT?
The "plane pitch shot drill" will help ensure that your swing plane on your pitch shots is not too shallow but is, instead, more up and down on the same plane. If you've struggled with pitching the golf ball, there's a good chance your golf club is coming around your body too quickly and on too flat of a swing plane. Director of Golf - Scott Bunker shares this great lesson and drill to help you immediately improve your pitch shots.
YOU CAN LEARN PROPER SETUP FOR YOUR PITCH SHOTS WITH THE HELP OF A SIMPLE ALIGNMENT STICK TRAINING AID
If you're struggling with your pitch shots, one of the most common problems is that the club has come around too quickly in too flat of a swing plane in your backswing. As demonstrated in the video, a great way to test and address a shallow backswing is with a simple alignment stick training aid placed into the ground just behind you. Place the alignment stick at a relatively steep - 70-to-80-degree angle. The goal is to keep your golf club on a more vertical plane in your takeaway, backswing, and then back through on the same plane in your downswing and at contact.
